Taylor Hawkins (born Oliver Taylor Hawkins on February 17, 1972, and died on March 25, 2022) was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the rock band <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Foo%20Fighters">Foo Fighters</a> from 1997 until his death in 2022.
Prior to joining the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Foo%20Fighters">Foo Fighters</a>, Hawkins was the touring drummer for Sass Jordan and for Alanis Morissette, as well as being the drummer in a Sylvian project. He joined the Foo Fighters after William Goldsmith left the band.
Hawkins contributed significantly to the Foo Fighters' sound and songwriting. He provided backing vocals, played guitar and piano on certain tracks, and even sang lead vocals on a few songs. He also had his own side projects, including the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Taylor%20Hawkins%20and%20the%20Coattail%20Riders">Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders</a>, which released multiple albums.
Hawkins' drumming style was known for its energy, precision, and showmanship. He was highly regarded as one of the best rock drummers of his generation. He was inducted into the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Rock%20and%20Roll%20Hall%20of%20Fame">Rock and Roll Hall of Fame</a> with the Foo Fighters in 2021.
His sudden death in Bogotá, Colombia, in March 2022 shocked the music world. A toxicology report indicated the presence of multiple substances in his system at the time of his death. The <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Foo%20Fighters">Foo Fighters</a> subsequently canceled all scheduled tour dates following his passing.
